Halation (formerly CAMCAM) is an offline analog film camera app for Android. It renders the phone's live camera feed through a procedural film simulation engine that runs entirely on the GPU of the device — there are no LUT files, no downloaded content, no server, and no AI processing. Every look is generated from parameters in real time. Features: a shelf of 14 camera bodies (35mm colour and black & white, a single-use flash camera, a 2005 digital compact, slide film, a night body, medium format 6x6, an instant print camera, a plastic toy camera, half-frame, and 8mm / 16mm / VHS video bodies), 6 lenses (fisheye, wide, prism, soft, anamorphic streak), 6 coloured flashes, and 6 physical film gates/borders drawn in code. Photo features include push/pull processing, double exposure, tap-to-focus, exposure compensation, batch conversion and a developing delay. Video mode records with a temporal film layer (gate weave, density flicker, dust and scratches) and a procedural projector sound; video is encoded on the device. A "Darkroom" screen lets the user take the selected camera's film apart with 19 sliders (per-channel curve slope and spread, base and ceiling density, highlight bleach, grain size and structure, acutance, halation, vignette, chromatic aberration, light leak) and save the result as their own named recipe. Recipes can be exported and imported as a short text code (prefixed CAM-). This code is generated and read entirely on the device; nothing is uploaded and there is no recipe server or community feature. Monetization: the app is free to download. A free tier includes four camera bodies, the full engine and saving with a small watermark. "Halation Pro" is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play Billing that unlocks all 14 cameras, all lenses and flashes, the Darkroom, watermark-free full resolution photos and video up to 3 minutes at 1080p. Plans: USD 3.99 per week, USD 9.99 per month or USD 39.99 per year (local prices vary), each with a 3-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in Google Play. There is no advertising. Accounts: none. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. Purchases are tied to the user's Google account by Google Play, not by us. Permissions used: CAMERA (the app's core function — to show and capture the live viewfinder) and INTERNET (required by Google Play Billing; the app itself makes no network requests of its own). The app does NOT request microphone access.
