Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Halation Android application (package com.hugosoftware.camcam, previously published under the name CAMCAM), published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Halation on devices you own or control. You may not resell, sublicense, rent out, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Free tier and Halation Pro subscription
Halation is free to download. The free tier includes four camera bodies, the full simulation engine, photo and video capture, and saving with a small watermark.
Halation Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks all 14 camera bodies, all lenses and flashes, the Darkroom, watermark-free full resolution photos, and video of up to 3 minutes at 1080p. Plans are:
- Weekly — USD 3.99
- Monthly — USD 9.99
- Yearly — USD 39.99
Local prices may differ; the price shown inside the app before you confirm is the price that applies. Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial for users who have not subscribed before.
Payment is charged to your Google Play account when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in Google Play → Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
All purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy; we can help you with the process but cannot issue Google Play refunds ourselves.
What the app does — and what it does not claim
Halation is a procedural film simulation. Its looks are generated from parameters in real time on your device's GPU. It does not use scans of, or data sampled from, any manufacturer's film stock, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any camera or film manufacturer.
All camera, film, lens and flash names inside the app are our own inventions. Any resemblance to a real product name is coincidental and no association is implied.
Your content
Photos and videos you create with Halation are yours. We claim no ownership, licence or rights over them. Because they never leave your device, we have no access to them.
You are responsible for what you photograph and record, including obtaining any consent required where you live, and for complying with local laws about photography and recording.
Darkroom recipes and share codes
Recipes you create are yours. A share code (text beginning with CAM-) is generated on your device and contains only numeric settings and the name you gave it. If you publish a code, you do so at your own discretion; we neither host nor moderate codes.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any of its features. Apart from the purchase check performed by Google Play, Halation works entirely offline.
Disclaimer
Halation is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular visual result.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost photographs, recordings or data. Always keep your own backups of anything important.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. This licence ends when you do. Remember to cancel an active subscription separately in Google Play.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
